Senior Software Engineer

Engineering4–5 yearsRemote (India)Full-time

Own features end-to-end across the PDF editor, signing flows, and document pipeline — from API design to the pixels recipients see. You'll set technical direction on a small team where your decisions ship to production the same week.

What you’ll do

  • Design and build features across the stack — from the editor front end to the APIs and the document-processing pipeline
  • Lead technical design for document workflows, real-time status updates, and tamper-evident audit trails
  • Review code, raise the bar on quality, and mentor engineers earlier in their careers
  • Tune database queries, queues, and background jobs as usage grows
  • Help keep production healthy — observability, incident follow-ups, and pragmatic hardening

What we’re looking for

  • 4–5 years building and operating production web applications
  • Strong with at least one modern frontend framework — React, Vue, Angular, or similar
  • Deep server-side experience in any major backend stack — Java Spring, Node.js, PHP Laravel, Python Django, Ruby on Rails, or similar
  • Confident with databases — relational or NoSQL — including schema design, indexing, and query performance
  • Experience designing REST APIs, background jobs, and queue-based processing
  • Comfort with cloud services, CI pipelines, and code review culture

Nice to have

  • Canvas or PDF work, document tooling, or anything print/coordinate-system adjacent
  • Real-time systems — WebSockets or similar
  • Experience in security- or compliance-sensitive products

Software Engineer — Frontend

Build the editor people use to place fields on documents and the signing experience their recipients complete on any device. Lots of interaction-heavy UI: drag, resize, undo/redo, and pixel-perfect rendering.

What you’ll do

  • Build editor interactions — placing, dragging, and resizing fields on top of rendered PDFs
  • Polish the recipient signing flow so it works flawlessly on mobile browsers
  • Implement dashboards, timelines, and document status views from our design system
  • Build clean, well-structured API clients and reusable components
  • Chase down rendering and performance issues across browsers

What we’re looking for

  • 2–3 years building production UIs with any modern framework — React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, or similar
  • Strong JavaScript or TypeScript fundamentals
  • Solid CSS fundamentals: layout, responsive design, and attention to visual detail
  • Experience consuming REST APIs and handling loading, error, and empty states properly
  • Comfortable with Git, pull requests, and giving/receiving code review

Nice to have

  • Canvas, SVG, or PDF rendering experience
  • State-management patterns in any framework
  • Frontend testing — unit or end-to-end

Software Engineer — Backend

Build the APIs and background machinery behind document workflows — sending, signing, notifications, audit logging, and storage. Reliability and correctness matter here: people sign legally meaningful documents through this code.

What you’ll do

  • Build API endpoints for documents, recipients, and signing workflows
  • Implement background jobs for email delivery, PDF processing, and webhooks
  • Extend our hash-chained audit log and document lifecycle state machine
  • Integrate cloud storage, email, and real-time broadcasting services
  • Write tests that catch regressions before our customers do

What we’re looking for

  • 2–3 years of backend development in any major stack — Java Spring, Node.js, PHP Laravel, Python Django, or similar
  • Solid grasp of databases — relational or NoSQL — including transactions and migrations
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs, including auth and validation
  • Understanding of background jobs and why some work shouldn't happen in a web request
  • You write tests and care about the difference between “works” and “correct”

Nice to have

  • Caching or queueing systems — Redis or similar
  • Real-time messaging — WebSockets or similar
  • Curiosity about PDF internals or document formats

HR Executive — People & Operations

Be the first dedicated people-ops hire. You'll own hiring end-to-end, run onboarding for a remote team, and keep our policies and statutory compliance in order — with a direct line to the founders.

What you’ll do

  • Run the hiring pipeline end-to-end: sourcing, screening, scheduling, and offers
  • Design and run onboarding so new remote teammates are productive in week one
  • Own HR policies — leave, insurance, reimbursements — and keep them current and humane
  • Administer payroll inputs, benefits, and statutory compliance with our accountants
  • Build the rituals that keep a remote team connected

What we’re looking for

  • 1–3 years in HR, recruiting, or people operations — tech hiring experience is a strong plus
  • Excellent written communication; you'll often be a candidate's first impression of us
  • Organized and self-directed — comfortable owning a process end-to-end remotely
  • Familiarity with an ATS or HRMS, or the spreadsheets-and-discipline equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Indian statutory compliance (PF, ESI, gratuity, POSH) preferred
